With sugar free apple cake, or any low sugar and sugar free recipes, it’s good to get all the sweetness from fruit. Grating the apples means we get the most out of the sweetness and also creates a cake with a light texture.
We added sultanas for some extra sweetness, but these are optional. If you don't like them, you could sub in a few chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans.
Slice the apples thinly for the topping, about 3 mm is good. Dab dry with some kitchen paper.
They bake into to the top of the apple cake perfectly.
Diabetic apple cake recipes need plenty of flavour, and that’s where the spices come in – there is nothing like the combination of apple cake with cinnamon! Sweet and nutty, fresh and rich all together.
Using oil instead of butter results in a much lighter and more moist cake.
The cream cheese filling complements the apple flavours perfectly!
We were happy to see how easy it can be to make such a tasty, moist sugar free apple cake when the right ingredients come together. It’s one of those recipes you'll come back to again and again.

This sounds good and I would like to try it. Why are the ingridients written in milligrams instead of cups and teaspoons? I don't use milligrams in my language of American english. Please send me the recipe in cups and teaspoons. Thank you
