INGREDIENTS

  • 200g (1.25 cups) Self Raising Flour
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) vegetable oil
  • 3 Eggs
  • 100g sultanas (0.5 cups)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 100g (¼ cup + 3 tbsp) Honey
  • 2 Apples grated plus 1 apple sliced
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Frosting: 280g (1.25 cups) Soft cheese
  • 100g (¼ cup + 3 tbsp) Honey

RECIPE METHOD

  • Preheat oven to gas mark 5 / 375F / 190c
  • Add grated apples, eggs, oil, vanilla extract, honey and vinegar to a bowl and combine thoroughly
  • Stir in the flour, baking soda, sultanas and cinnamon, scrape into 2 lined cake tins
  • Pat apple slices dry with kitchen paper towel, arrange on top of one cake (this cake may take a couple of minutes longer than the other due to the added moisture from the extra apple)
  • Bake for 25-28 minutes until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean
  • For the frosting: beat cream cheese and honey together, and when cake is cooled, slice both in half and sandwich together with your cream cheese filling

This sounds good and I would like to try it. Why are the ingridients written in milligrams instead of cups and teaspoons? I don't use milligrams in my language of American english. Please send me the recipe in cups and teaspoons. Thank you
