Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Recipe
Enjoy creating your own sugar free dark chocolate bar with this recipe...

Chocolate was one thing I never thought I could give up when I realised I could no longer eat refined sugar!
Unfortunately I tried commercial sugar free chocolate bars which used maltitol as the sweetener but maltitol has very unpleasant and uncomfortable side effects for me! So they were out.
A delicious sugar-free dark chocolate treat helps with sweet cravings but is also a much healthier alternative. Creating your own dairy-free, refined sugar-free dark chocolate bars at home allows you to control the ingredients, protecting your health.

To create a sugar-free dairy-free dark chocolate bar, start with high-quality cocoa butter, cocoa powder, and honey.
Melt the cocoa butter and honey first and then mix it with the cocoa powder, ensuring a smooth consistency.

Ideally look for a 100% high quality cocoa powder as this will really affect the final flavour. Be careful to check the ingredients list on your cocoa powder as some brands may add sugar.

For a richer taste and texture, consider incorporating dairy-free additions such as chopped nuts or dried fruit into the mixture. These customisations give extra texture while keeping your chocolate dairy free.
Adding a pinch of salt can enhance the overall flavour profile, balancing the sweetness and bitterness of the dark chocolate. Vanilla extract can add a great taste and aroma.

These chocolate bar moulds are easy to find online and will last for ages. Otherwise you can pour your chocolate into a shallow dish until it is set.

Experimenting with ingredients is essential with dietary restrictions. You can discover delicious treats you never knew were possible!
Once the ingredients are well combined and completely smooth, pour the mixture into your mould or lined baking tray and refrigerate until solidified. If using a silicone mould make sure you have it on a flat plate of board that will fit in your fridge.

This sugar-free, dairy-free dark chocolate recipe provides a perfect solution for chocolate lovers seeking a healthier option. Plus you get the health benefits of cocoa.
By excluding maltitol and refined sugar and incorporating wholesome ingredients, you can savour the rich taste of dark chocolate without worrying about stomach discomfort or the side effects of refined sugar.
